Recycled Soda Bottles Capture Overspray in New Binks Receptor™ Filters

(March 2010) Glendale Heights, IL - Binks introduces their new Receptor™ eco-friendly line of high efficiency booth over-spray filters, made from recycled post-consumer waste PET plastic. Receptor's superior paint holding capacity rivals the efficiency of higher-priced filters.

As part of a dual -capture construction in a robust one-piece design, the first capture layer collects overspray and is white to reflect light within the booth. The second capture layer is 100% made from green soda bottles giving it a light green color. Engineered for high efficiency, this environmentally sensitive green layer traps even more coating the Receptor filter.

With 98.67% arrestance efficiency, almost all overspray is pulled in. Materials are prevented from entering the downstream air system, substantially cutting particulate emissions and reducing spontaneous ignition risk. Binks Receptor meets UL9000, Class II standards for flammability. Maintenance costs are lowered with less downstream area cleaning needed, including fewer stack cleanings.

A Binks Receptor filter provides a more consistent static pressure drop to increase coating coverage. The inline one-piece design provides higher strength when fully loaded and the greater holding capacity means fewer filters are needed. Polyester media allows for quick and easy change out and does not irritate skin.

Binks Receptor Filters are compatible with most industrial coatings. Sold in blankets and pads, they work with most spray booth filter retaining systems, including frame, spike and compression.
